How Does Public Art Add Value to New Developments?

Roundtable Room: 3:30pm - 4:00pm
Since the Government announced a £675 million Future High Streets Fund to support local areas in regenerating town centres – both economically and in relation to community engagement - the role of public art and placemaking has become increasingly topical.
Can art change your experience of where you live and how you see the wider world?  How can public art add value for developers? What is the role of public art consultants? Using examples of existing projects, this interactive discussion explores current practice, demystifying the processes involved for developers, architects and stakeholders, whilst stimulating what promises to be a lively conversation.
