Richard drives the delivery of the Council’s placemaking agenda, seeking to establish Medway as a great place to live, to work, to learn and to visit.
As Director and Deputy Chief Executive, Richard has responsibility for Frontline Services, Physical and Cultural Regeneration and Transformation.
Richard has held a number of roles at Medway since its inception in 1998, and before that time worked in a range of positions across Kent County Council, both at corporate and service level.

The session will cover Medway’s monumental Regeneration Programme, together with the cultural offer that makes Medway a great place to live, work, learn and visit. There will also be the opportunity to hear about new developments in Medway such as Innovation Park Medway; 1300 high GVA employment opportunities being created and our recent Housing Infrastructure Bid that has reached stage 2 of the process; £170m unlocking the potential for up to 12,100 homes, new roads, new rail links and social infrastructure.
