Head of Research and Development, RIFT R&D Tax Credits
Sarah joined Rift Research and Development in 2015 as a Senior Consultant specialising in the construction sector, becoming Head of Department in 2016.
Sarah is a registered PRINCE2 practitioner and a qualified teacher. Sarah was a lecturer at Buckinghamshire New University and spent over 5 years teaching BSc Sociology. Seven years’ experience within the public sector, focused on service improvement and project management, has given Sarah an in-depth understanding of the complex processes and procedures within the construction industry.
Working closely with the construction industry has given Sarah an appreciation for the often unrecognised innovation that takes place at all levels. This enables her to readily identify potential tax credit opportunities for clients. Combining her knowledge of government, HMRC and industry Sarah is able to fluently translate the implications of that practical on-site work into a successful claim with HMRC.
Sarah is a technical expert in R&D and specialises in construction. She has worked on European Funded Projects, assisting SMEs in accessing fore-sighting and innovation information, specifically relating to emerging technology growth areas. .
