Project Director, Lower Thames Crossing
Tim has been in the construction industry for 43 years, 30 of which have been in the transportation sector. Tim is the Project Director for Highways England, responsible for the Lower Thames Crossing Project. Before Tim’s appointment, he was the Chief Executive of Connect Plus, the award-winning company with responsibility for the £6bn contract to manage and update the M25 Network.
Update on the Lower Thames Crossing

Tim Jones will provide an update on the Lower Thames Crossing, a new tunnel and 3-lane motorway connecting Kent and Essex, which will unlock opportunities and economic growth for the south-east and the UK. The crossing will be a 70mph, 13 mile route that will connect the A2 to the M25 via a two tunnels under the Thames. The £4.4-6.2bn project will be part of the biggest investment in roads in a generation.
