Navigating Planning Uncertainty and Delivering Better Places

The Labour government has recently introduced a raft of changes to planning that have fundamentally changed site viabilities. These include vision-led transport planning and the nature recovery fund, accompanied by new guidelines that are due imminently. There have also been some significant changes to flood-risk assessment meaning redesign of affected sites. This session will focus on key considerations for site promoters and developers to account for in their plans.  It will explore how sustainable practices can be balanced with pragmatic solutions and highlight the importance of strengthening the current skills base through the use of future workforce with sustainability training.
