Biodiversity Net Gain: Elevating Constructing Sustainability with Biodiversity Enhancement

With an academic background in Ecology and conservation, Annie went on to study Landscape Architecture and work on a range of projects in the UK and overseas; from high-end design to ecological enhancement & large-scale landscape strategies.

After the pandemic, Annie set up Wild • Life Sussex Coast as a Community Interest Company that delivers Coastal Club sessions for children during school holidays and a free Nature Connection events programme during the Summer for adults of all ages.

Wild • Life’s outdoor activities on the Sussex Coast include dance, foraging, pottery, yoga and walking for wellbeing to create a community with kindness, companionship and healthy living at its heart.

Annie has joined Ashford Borough Council as the Open Space and Landscape Officer. Within this role Annie works with strategic to detailed design, biodiversity enhancement, planning, play and engagement for the borough.
