Harriett Newton

Harriett is a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager with more than 12 years’ experience in flood risk management, hydrology and hydraulic modelling. She leads Mayer Brown’s in-house hydraulic flood modelling team, using TUFLOW, Flood Modeller Pro and Causeway Flow to support Flood Risk Assessments, drainage design and the appraisal of flood mitigation options.

Harriett has delivered complex fluvial, coastal and surface-water studies for public- and private-sector clients across development, buildings and transport. She combines strong technical expertise with an ability to explain complex modelling clearly, helping project teams understand flood constraints, test development scenarios and identify practical solutions that can unlock challenging sites.
